God’s been present in a big way lately.  He has been saying, listen up Chris.  I’m amazed at what he can do and how he can show up in the strangest places.  I’m greatly in debt to a beautiful savior.

Well, I’m going to bed now.  Knoxville road trip this weekend, so that will be fun fun!!!!

Please pray for my growing confidence in the trust that God gives us.  I see myself struggle with that from time to time.  I know that I’m not alone in this situation.

 I’m tired now, with it being one in the morning.  Can I ask you all that you would pray that my faith grows in God?  He has been revealing me in lots of ways lately, and I just need to have my trust in him.  Read Matthew about Peter walking on the water.  “You have so little faith.”  That has been me on and off over the past couple of months.

So, today was my first day in the Children’s Ministry at Fellowship church.  I was so happy today.  I felt really odd though while working with the children.  I think it came from me being skeptical over the past day.  I really like it got my mind off things and realized what God is doing in other lives.  I get to work with special needs third graders and also 4-5 year old special needs.  I feel like that is where I should be on Sunday mornings.  It is really awesome.  I want to help them so much in the future.  I feel like I’m going to change because of this, my heart more Christ like.  I’m ready for this journey.

In all, the only prayer request I have is that I don’t completely fail my next couple of test.  I need to do well in my classes.    Also, can you all pray for these interviews that I have coming up on Thursday.  I hope I get a job.  I’ll try to write on Friday.  I’m going home to watch my sister’s first band competition.  We need to beat Centennial High for first place.  Well, I’m heading on out of here.  Thanks for reading this.

Updates:

• I finished with a B in Business Ethics, which I thought was awesome. My GPA fell though to 3.05 (I know; it is low).
• Overclocking a processor could possibly lead to component failures. My CPU temperature sensor on my motherboard decides to just quit… I’ll change out the motherboard during the Christmas break (hopefully when I upgrade to Core 2 Quad Q6600 G0 stepping ). It is just that I paid 270 bucks for my P5W DH Deluxe, too much… I had to have the greatest at the time. I just want to get max utility out of my investment (philosophy talk).
• I had the best five days at home during my transition from summer school to regular school. I got to see basically everybody at home. I miss you all (we are all over the state ). The cows are doing fine. Smokey and Buster are doing fine. Everything was just splendid at home. I even did the electrical work in the bathroom we are remodeling.

Now on to the good stuff!

God has done alot in the past two weeks in my life. Living in his hands is awesome. He is moving me so much. First off at the leaders retreat that happened a couple of weeks ago, I felt terrible because I heard some really horrible news from back at home. It tore me up. However, I just got this feeling of that person will be fine (with me being really critical) because God will take care of it. The Bible does says that from darkness comes light; I just have this feeling of good like I don’t have to worry about her. (If you out there read this, I really want to speak to you. We really didn’t end of a great note. I still pray for you almost everyday.) Moving on, Crusade is just awesome. I am still in planning with my engineering small group (which will start in two weeks! hopefully), and I am helping out the Wednesday night small group at Reese! Those guys are really awesome. They are wanting to taste Jesus and be in communion with one another. I wish I had that my freshman year of school (that is a long story though). Also, God has been really moving me in the church. I love to pour out on the website (collegelife.fefc.com). I like just giving my input about what I’ve been through, about who God is in my life. Also, I’m going to be helping out the Children’s Ministry at Fellowship. I’ll get to be working with the first and third graders. I felt really moved to do this after helping out with SummerQuest. I really enjoyed pouring into the “little” people, so I’m going to do that some more this fall. Also, I have some stuff that will be posted in my next article that is in the works now.

You all out there. Can you please pray for my patience as God exposes himself in ways that I’ve never seen in my life? I feel like some bigs things are coming my way. I hope that I am ready for what he is about to throw at me. Also, can you pray for my faith in him? I know that I’m going to be stretched in areas that need stretching. I just want to keep my faith in him even though a part of me wants to bail out and take the easy way (a little scared you could say). Finally, can you pray that my fire continues to grow for God? It has been a blazing, but I want this fire to turn into a wildfire that is doing God’s will. That has been on my heart these past couple of days/weeks.

Well, I didn’t talk about classes. They are ok. I might have to explain them in the next article. Well, I’m going to bed. Take care y’all!

So in the beginning, my Pentium D at the stock speed of 3.2ghz scored 61.265 seconds on the 32M section of the wPrime benchmarking program. I thought that was pretty good for a Pentium D, but I knew that I could better. This is where risk comes in. (stuff that I’ve been learning in business ethics.) I decide to overclock. I’ve never overclocked before, so I didn’t know what I was getting into. Basically, I started increasing the bus speed of the processor (increase of bus speed * multiplier = faster processor clock). From 3.2ghz, I overall got to an impressive 4.389ghz at vcore of 1.4 volts. I ran the test again, and I got 43.297 seconds on the 32M section of wPrime. While running the benchmark, I flirted with the max temperature before thermal protection kicked in. During the test at 4.389ghz, the processor temperature was 53-54 degrees celsius at idle and at full load was 68 degrees celsius. The thermal protection of the processor is 68.8C (yeah, I was just that far off lol!) (Also, the thermal protection does work, I got the blue screen in Windows tons of times ). So that was my Saturday. To most of you out there, you would think, “why Chris would you risk of blowing up you computer?” I just think of it as just experimental testing on how fast my little Pentium D can run. Pictures/screenshots of my testing are at the end of the blog entry with a extra picture of how I tried to increase cooling of the processor lol.

God has been teaching me alot over the past couple of days. Stemming from my frustrations, God has giving me more stuff to think about other than the frustrations. The more stuff is about engaging the world. This past year has been crazy and awesome (getting to know Jesus so much is like a O’Charleys roll. It is so tasty, warm, delicious!), and I feel like it’s time to share what God has done in my life. If you knew what I’ve been through, I went from nothing to something+Jesus, which is really awesome. I just want to share that with anybody who wants to hear it. Also, I’m thinking of becoming a member at church. I feel like that is the next major step in my testimony. But hey, I get to work with JC Neely on the College Life website, collegelife.fefc.com. There are tons of stuff In store for me, and I think that I am ready for this ride that God is about to put me on. In other news, can you please pray for my friend Rick; he hurt his foot pretty badly while on Loudon lake last Sunday. I pray that he gets better as soon as possible! Anywho, I hope you all have a great week!

In other news, the Ubuntu craze has faded off. I really don’t have good sound drivers, so my mp3s don’t play as clearly. Everything else is great though. I even figured out there is a fan program for my notebook fans that runs in Linux which is awesome. I just need to experiment with it some more (some more $ sudo apt-get install stuff)!
